A Fun Day

Today was an especially fun one! We played all day outside, and then we went to our neighbor Casen's birthday party, where the kids got to play on the playground, eat lots of good food, and ride horses. When we got home, Maggie fell fast asleep in the middle of the living room floor--within five minutes. Here are some pictures from today...

Swing Set!

Can you tell these two love their new swing set?

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...Oh, and Some Snails...

Maggie got to help Jeff dig up some old flowers and weeds and put down new bark chip a few days ago. While digging in the dirt, they found LOTS of snails. Maggie was fascinated (and a little grossed out). :-) Miller loved them too when he got up from his nap. So much so that he tried to eat one. I think he was partially successful. Eww, right?

Miller's 18-Month Check-Up

Miller had his 18-month doctor's visit today. He weighs 25 pounds, 12 ounces, and is 33 inches tall...nearly as big as his sister! He'll have to wait until next week for his immunizations because he had a fever today (He was really disappointed). ;-) At 18 months, Miller...

*loves to be silly. He tickles Maggie and says "Ticka, ticka, ticka." He loves to hide and say "Boo!" when we find him. He's a silly boy!

*loves to play outside. When I get him dressed and put his shoes on in the morning, he runs to the front door and says, "Go, go!"

*will open the fridge and bring me the whole bottle of juice when his sippy cup is empty. He'll also go and stand in the pantry when he's hungry.

*will repeat almost any word he hears. Be careful what you say around him! :-)

*is a cuddler. When we pick him up, he puts his head on our shoulder and wraps his arms tight around us. I love it!

*doesn't like milk and won't touch meat. It's okay. He's still a healthy boy.

*has had four haircuts. Crazy! Maggie didn't get her first haircut until she was two.

*loves his paci. He never wants to part with it. He can find it anywhere. I put it on top of the fridge one day, and he went and stood by the fridge and pointed to it. It's like he has a built-in radar.

*wants to carry his blanket and lovey everywhere--in the house, outside, in Target--everywhere. And gets very upset if I won't let him. It's pretty cute, but we have to wash his blanket and lovey a lot.

*still melts his mama's heart each and every day.

We're so blessed to have our happy, healthy little boy, and it's amazing to watch him grow and learn new things. Here's a picture of our sweet baby boy at 18 months.

He loves to help out with the laundry! :-)

Latest Maggie Quotes

Here are some of the latest funny sayings from our sweet three-year-old:

While looking at weather.com (We do this every morning.): "Since it's sunny today, it can be moony tonight."

Said to her bike today after she scraped her leg on the pedal: "Bike, you never, ever hurt me again. Ever. You break my heart."

Said over and over while we were taking a walk this morning: "Miller, your legs are so chubby."

A couple of nights ago during her bedtime prayer: "Thank you that we can go to Pump it Up tomorrow." (We--or I--had no itentions of such.) :-)

This morning after she had a bed-wetting accident: "Mama, I had an accident. I know I'm in trouble. I'm not gonna cry. I'm not gonna cry. I'm NOT gonna cry...." (P.S. No, she was not in trouble. This is nighttime accident #3 since last summer. Kid's doing pretty well.)

The girl keeps us in stitches. I can't WAIT to see what kinds of things Miller has to say.

Baseball Games

We got to go this morning and watch cousins Landon and Jackson play their first baseball games of the season. Maggie and Miller love all of their cousins and had a great time at the baseball field today. Miller mainly walked around with his pink cup (He had to use one of Maggie's sippies because all of his were in the dishwasher) and ate chocolate chip cookes. He stomped in approval when everybody clapped for a good play. :-) Maggie enjoyed throwing the baseball with some boys who were warming up for a game. She loved cheering for her cousins. Both of the boys' teams won their first games. Landon and Jackson are good little baseball players! We had a good time and can't wait to go back to another game soon.

Yogurt Hair

When my babies are all grown up, I will miss the days they used to rub yogurt in their hair during breakfast. :-)
